AND IT IS AWESOME.
I wear my snowboard goggles when snowblowing as it is just way easier on the eyes with snow going everywhere. But it’s late at night when I can finally get to snowblowing so it’s difficult to see, plus I worry about cars getting to close to me when I’m near the end of the driveway.
7" 18W amber light bar - $20
6000 mAh rechargeable battery pack - $30
Made a wire harness with some spares I had in the garage
End result
Results from last night where I finally got to use it. Looks like a flamethrower with the amber lights

Did your snow blower not come with a factory light? I’ve never seen one that big without one.

Now all you need is a trailer hitch cargo carrier, a brush guard, and a YETI sticker on that thing.
Snow throw is a go, bro!

When are you putting the lift kit on bro? Haha...seriously though that’s a good idea that I may copy

That’s bloody brilliant. When I lived in a place where I had a similar snowblower (six forward gears and two reverse) this would have been a welcome addition. Well done!

So is it a snowblower or a snowBROer?

Haven’t tested my “bike light” yet, haven’t had a reason to! Ridiculous winter

Wow, that damn thing’s pretty bright...$20 isn’t too bad either. Any chance they are available online in white? Would love some as fog lights on my car (I miss them in bad weather from my old car...)

It did not, 22 year old snow blower, it was rare for them to have lights back then

Here’s the light that I bought. They have other sizes and pretty sure they have clear ones too http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00…

Yep last night we had about 8 inches in my driveway when I got home from work. Glad I was able to finally use it

No Tapout stickers on it, and there never will be.

That’s what this is 6F and 2R. My parents friends lived in northern Michigan where they needed a snowblower like this. Then they retired to Florida and gave it to me as a house warming gift

I’ve looked into it. difficult to up to a lift on with the tracks. I think the next upgrade will be an LS swap

Wow, kudos for keeping a 20+ years old snowblower working. For whatever reason, any old snowblower I’ve owned ended up being more work to keep running than it’s worth.

It’s nearing the end of it’s life. It used to be able to plow through this stuff in 2nd or 3rd gear, Now I can only use 1st gear otherwise the motor bogs down. My friend did a motor swap on his from 3hp to an 8hp motor and said that all snowblower motors for 2 stage throwers are very very similar and swapping is quite easy. So it’s that or an LS swap, I’m up in the air

Yeah thankfully mine was only about 12 bucks so if it doesn’t work out it wasn’t a huge investment ya kno? I’m a little worried about the attachment, I don’t know if I’ll be able to get my auger handle all the way flat with it on the way it is, I may have to fabricate a cross bar like you have.

Angle iron works great. With the angle iron you can adjust the light angle to where the handlebars start to curve. Lets you point the light up or down

Tracks! DOPEST DOPE!

This thing does NOT get stuck. I can just put the chute up, put it in 6th gear to get them really spinning, push down on the back to get the chute up higher and it climbs over just about everything

HAHA awesome. All you need is this:

you need portal axles!

I was in Indianapolis. Some winters we needed it, sometimes we didn’t. It always was welcome when I had it. Electric start, too, made it fantastic.

LS is so overdone... how about an EcoBoost?
Seriously though, I have been debating buying a wrecked bike and putting the engine on my snowblower for years. Something about having a snowblower running up to 8 or 10k RPMs rustles the jimmies.

That’s too much work when I could just buy Briggs and Stratton brand new for less than $200 and bolt it up

yeah... but could you imagine how far the snow would go at those speeds?
